Fred Weber, Inc. Receives 2010 Value Engineering Award
November 30, 2011 - The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) awarded Fred Weber, Inc. with the 2010 Value Engineering Award at the Annual AGC/Missouri Department of Transportation Co-op Meeting at the Lodge of Four Seasons, Lake Ozark, MO.
Dave Nichols, Chief Engineer at MoDOT presented the award, recognizing Fred Weber, Inc. for “Delivering BEST VALUE to the Taxpayers of Missouri through Innovation and Cost Savings.”
Thomas E. Hayes, Senior Vice President, Missouri Region was in attendance to accept the award on behalf of Fred Weber, Inc.
"MoDOT presented FWI with the 2010 Value Engineering Award for submitting the largest dollar amount of value engineering proposals of any contractor in Missouri," commented Tom. "This recognizes the hard work our employees put forth to come up with innovative ideas that result in significant dollar savings to both MoDOT and FWI. This is one of the major factors that separates FWI from our competitors. I would like to thank each of our employees for their contributions in winning the 2010 award and hope we will win again in 2011."
This is the second consecutive year and fifth time overall that Fred Weber, Inc. has received this prestigious award.
According to MoDOT, the purpose of the VE program is to assure the public receives optimum value for every tax dollar invested in their transportation system. The Value Engineering technique is used to improve the department’s productivity.
This award is another example of how the “WE” in Weber consistently provides the highest quality of work while staying ahead of schedule and under budget.
Congratulations.
