Fred Weber, Inc. Receives Safety Awards from SEMMSA
June 15, 2010
Farmington, MO – The State of Missouri, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards, Mine and Cave Safety and Health Section and the Southeast Missouri Mine Safety Association presented the following awards to Fred Weber, Inc. on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at an awards ceremony at Spokes Restaurant in Farmington, Missouri.
All mining operations in Missouri are eligible to receive awards, which are based on quarterly reports to the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and are a result of “Total Hours” worked and “Lost Time Accidents” reported. A lost time accident is an incident which causes one or more days off work (consecutive or not) after, but not including, the day of an occupational injury or illness. In addition, a company representative must have attended a minimum of three bimonthly meetings.
