In Detail

Super Pave Asphalt is a high-tech asphalt pavement, and our trap rock enhances the stability and resilience of the mix, giving it properties that limestone can’t provide. Often state governments stipulate trap rock in their specifications.

Railroad Ballast is made of trap rock. Sizes include but are not limited to:

  • 3 Mainline Ballast
  • 4A Mainline Ballast
  • 5 Walkway Ballast

Iron Mountain Trap Rock Floor Hardener™ is used in concrete slabs for warehouses or big shops. The floor hardener is the last _-inch topping on the slab, which makes it extremely hard and durable. It’s shipped throughout the United States and around the world.

Landscape Trap Rock is available as accent rock for gardens and landscaping applications. Trap rock from our mine is requested and used by landscapers and homeowners in the Midwest because of its unique color.

Trap rock is the choice for concrete when the application demands strength and durability.
