Construction Services covers all aspects of roadwork from highways to bridge building. As a general contractor, we employ more than 400 craftsmen and members of trades and are currently involved in more than 30 separate projects.

  • Site Work
  • Grading and Sewers
  • Concrete and Asphalt Paving
  • Structures
  • Cold Milling

Making It and Placing It

We are a full-service, self-supplied contractor in the St. Louis area. Because we are involved in a project from start to finish, we tightly control the process, which saves time, cuts expenses and improves quality.

  • We can self-perform 100 percent of the work
  • We make our own material
  • Our quality control staff enforces stricter specifications than state requirements

Outpacing the Competition

Heavy Grading. We have extensive experience moving millions of yards of material. With our quarry expertise, we can complete large-rock excavation jobs that require drilling and blasting. We can also handle on-site excavated material with scrapers, side-dumps and end-dumps or off-site excavated materials in side-dump trailers.

Bridge Building. We can self-perform 100 percent of your project, completing all phases of work:

  • Initial Excavation
  • Pile Driving
  • Substructure Work
  • Finished Superstructure
  • Aesthetic Enhancement

Asphalt Paving. We can handle the complete job – from producing the asphalt material to laying final product and testing the smoothness. During a normal construction season,

  • We place more than 100,000 tons of asphalt in the St. Louis area.
  • We remove nearly 1 million square yards of material using a roto-milling (pavement-planing) operation, which can run two crews concurrently.

We produce Super Pave asphalt for those projects that have to meet MODOT stringent specifications.

Concrete Paving. Annually we place up to 1 million square yards of concrete. We can run three paving crews simultaneously day or night and manage everything, from production to smoothness testing.

ENR Ranking

According to Engineering News Record Survey of top Domestic Heavy Contractors, we rank no. 43 nationwide, based on 2003 contracting revenue from transportation.
