Indiana I-69 Project

The I-69 project consisted of 70 miles of construction on I-69 from Evansville, Indiana to Crane, Indiana. Sections 1, 2 & 3 were officially opened to traffic on November 19, 2012, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Fred Weber, Inc. was the prime contractor for the northern most piece of Section 3, which included 10.5 miles of construction for the new I-69 extension in Greene County, Indiana.

Scope of work for Section 3 included:

• Design-Build

• 10.5 miles of I-69 from County Rd.
1400 N in Elnora, IN to US-231 in
Crane, IN

• 26 bridges

• 1 interchange

• 3.2 million cubic yards of excavated dirt

• 352,000 Square Yards of Concrete
