Showplace Award - National Stone Sand and Gravel Association (NSSGA)

Hundreds of quarries throughout the United States submit detailed applications for this distinguished award, but only a very limited number achieve winning status. Fred Weber has had four (4) of its quarries earn the NSSGA's nationally acclaimed "Showplace" award (2004 North, South, and O'Fallon; 2006 Iron Mountain Trap Rock). These outstanding first place awards represent the hardworking efforts and sense of accomplishment that Fred Weber's quarries have in the aesthetic appearance of its facilities to the neighboring communities. NSSGA President and CEO, Joy Wilson, was quoted

"When you look at what these winners have accomplished in the way of plant improvement, giving back to the communities in which they operate, market innovations and creative use of materials, you realize what a positive contribution aggregates producers make to America's daily life, far beyond the economic benefits generated by the industry. These are great companies made up of great people."
